ekko ImpactPay offers a seamless way for merchants to engage customers in positive climate action right after checkout. It gives customers a simple, intuitive way to view the carbon footprint of their purchase and contribute to environmental projects.

How it works

Once a customer completes their purchase, the associated carbon footprint can be displayed to them - such as in the payment confirmation, on a separate page, in the receipt or confirmation email.

If the customer taps the call-to-action, ImpactPay opens in a new browser tab. Carbon footprint data carries over automatically, creating a smooth, connected journey.

On the ImpactPay page, customers can:

• Adjust how much they’d like to contribute toward their climate impact - either increasing or decreasing the suggested amount
• Discover more about the certified projects their support helps fund
• Explore FAQs about footprint calculations, project selection, and the broader environmental benefits

If they choose to contribute, a secure window enables fast and easy card payment. After completing their contribution, customers can opt to receive an email receipt as a record of their action.
